JAN LESLIE, RHK COACH, HAS A LOT OF RESPECT FOR PROSOLIA ELDA PRESTIGIO In our "English" section we speak about Randers Handbold Klub, a tough opponent for Elda Prestigio in EHF final. In our city Elda Prestigio´coaches has got a lot of respect for Randers, in Denmark happens the same, Jan Leslie watched Elda on DVD several times and he thinks they´ll be two tough matches.
Lars Abildgaard, sports editor for Randers Amtsavis, the local daily neewpaper in Randers, writes for elrecord.net about Randers and about this final. He have been following RHK since 2002.
"A LOT OF RESPECT:
"I can tell us that the coach of Randers, Jan Leslie, has a lot of respect for Elda. After watching them several times on DVD he says that Elda is very strong in defence and good in counter attack. He feels it´s going to be a tough battle. He says the starting line up of Elda is very good, but is a little more doubtfull about the quality of the substitutes.
A VERY STRONG TEAM AWAY: Randers HK will not comment on what will be a good result in the first match, but they are very confident going into the match. In this season they have only lost away three times. Away to Viborg HK (best Danish team and again in the final of the Champions League, in Lublin (but Randers HK still progressed) and in the last match of the Danish Championsship with Team Tvis Holstebro (Randers was already qualified to the playoff). So Randers is very strong away from home this season.
THE BEST SEASON OF HIS HISTORY: This season has been the best in the history of Randers HK. They are in the EHF Cup Final for the first time and in the Danish Final for the first time. In the Danish Final they wil meet Viborg after beating Anja Andersen FC Copenhagen on the road to the final.
So now Randers HK want to win their first tittle ever. They feel the best chance to do it is in EHF Cup-final. They have a lot of respect for Elda, but still feel they have better chance against them than against Viborg.
THE STARS: The biggest stars of Randers HK is brazilian keeper Chana Masson, former Itxako-player Alessandrea Medeiros and Katrine Fruelund. But also the young national players Camilla Dalby and Mie Augustesen are profils of the team. And also german playmaker Nina Wörz is great in attack and defence.
SOLD OUT: Randers expect a full Arena for the return match. There can be 3.000 spectators in the Elro Arena Randers, and they expect the match to be sold out for the first time this season.
